SANITATION
-The City of Gladewater has contracted with Allied Waste(formally Olympic) (1-800-MR TRASH) to dispose of waste inside the City of Gladewater. Pick-ups are twice a week. Allied is required to pick up no more than 9 bags/cans on the first pick-up of the month and all bags/cans on the second pick-up. Citizens are responsible for their own garbage containers and placing them at the curb before 7:30 a.m. on the day of pick-up.. (more)
WATER INFORMATION
– Lake Gladewater provides an ample water supply for all the citizens of Gladewater and surrounding areas, including Clarksville City and the community of Friendship.
Continuous upgrades are being made to the Water Treatment Plant and service infrastructure in accordance with TCEQ regulations to ensure that our “Superior” water rating is maintained.

CITY WOODCHIPPING PROGRAM
– The City of Gladewater began a program in March 2007 to use its wood chipper to assist citizens in the removal of tree and brush debris. This will be completed once per month, beginning on the second Monday of each month. It is subject to weather conditions and work priorities, based on the calendar dates listed on this page.
