Citizen attendance and participation is welcomed during City of Gladewater public meetings. All public meetings are posted at least 72 hours in advance at City Hall and online (https://www.cityofgladewater.com).
All citizens attending a public meeting and wishing to bring up a matter not on the agenda at any meeting may do so, but only under citizen comment and are asked to complete a public comment sheet, available near the sign-in station before the public meeting starts. That person will be given an opportunity to do so at the proper time, when recognized by the presiding officer. Comments have a time limit, designated by the council or board, unless extended by the presiding officer or by a vote of the board members.
This information may not cover all rules or guidelines observed by the city council or boards. Persons with disabilities who plan to attend specific public meetings and who may need auxiliary aids or services are requested to contact the city secretary at (903) 845-2196 at least 2 days prior to the meeting so that appropriate arrangements may be made.
